I went to a hot tub in Saratoga tonight. It’s the usual spot we go to because the residents don’t seem to mind how late you use it, if you even live there, and what you do in it as long as you clean up after yourself and you don’t make too much noise. It’s also the hottest public hot tub I’ve known. ;)

Before I turn 26

Freezing Time

Don’t you just ever wish that you could freeze time? To just live in the one moment that seems to hold your provincial world together? I find myself wishing this a lot lately! If I could freeze time, in order to live that moment longer, and more fully I would do it so many times, just so that I could re-live those moments with him.

It’s a beautiful morning and it reminds me of better times had. The crisp morning air twitches my nose as I take in a deep breath—it reminds me of you. The brightness of early morning light mixed with the sounds of birds chirping reminds me of waking up next to you the summer we fell in love. I look back at these seven years and I keep wondering how the hell we got here…
